I am retooling each cybersecurity class to follow “deliberate practice.” I have been building tools over the past 10 years that are naturally doing most of these activities. After collecting the data it is clear that this type of practice, while very difficult, pays off long-term for cybersecurity professionals. As I bring new courses out, my focus will be on exercises that push students to build mental representations of the core skills, abilities, and task of cybersecurity.

What type of practice do you think will drive people to the next level?

Come to our Thursday 15:30 Central meeting to discuss your ideas.
